DE-FOA-0002906: Notice of Intent to Issue: DE-FOA-0002907 - Bipartisan Infrastructure Law: Advanced Energy Manufacturing & Recycling Grant Program (BIL Section 40209)

The United States (U.S). Department of Energy’s (DOE) Office of Manufacturing and Energy Supply Chains (MESC), intends to issue a Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) entitled “Bipartisan Infrastructure Law: Advanced Energy Manufacturing and Recycling Grant Program (Section 40209).”

The mission of MESC is to strengthen and secure manufacturing and energy supply chains needed to modernize the nation’s energy infrastructure and support a clean and equitable energy transition.

The anticipated FOA will support the Advanced Energy Manufacturing and Recycling Grant Program, as established by Bipartisan Infrastructure Law Section 40209. DOE anticipates that the FOA will award financial assistance in the form of cooperative agreements or grants to small- and medium-sized manufacturering firms to establish new facilities or to re-equip or expand existing facilities to manufacture or recycle advanced energy property in energy communities. The anticipated FOA will provide approximately $350 million in awards with a focus on projects with high supply chain impacts and strong community benefits plans.

This Notice of Intent (NOI) is issued so that interested parties are award of MESC's intention to issue a FOA in the near term. All of the information contained in this NOI is subject to change. DOE is under no obligation to acknowledge receipt of, or respond to, any submitted question/comment submitted under this NOI.
